the defensive & offensive pass interference rule is the most confusing rule ive ever seen. the refs sometimes even seem confused. they need to make a TV segment on these horrific calls just like the NFL does. shouldnt every DPI call be a spot of foul call? shouldnt OPI always be a deduction from previous spot??

#4Unlike the NFL. DPI is 15 yards or spot of foul whichever is less in college.Comment -

#5NFL spot of foul on pass interference is the worst rule in football. NCAA gets nothing right but did get that.Comment -

#6As usual, Buffalo is totally WRONG. With the idiots who play the DB positions in today's game, setting records for the number of DPI calls, these fools would push off or grab on every play if there was no spot of foul rule.Originally posted by Buffalo NickleNFL spot of foul on pass interference is the worst rule in football. #7lol we must not be watching the same football buffalo. these DB's are holding passed 5 yards, grabbing arms, holding the receivers hips and the refs just sits there and doesnt call it.. they need to change the rule cause its getting out of hand now. DPI is taken too lightly they need to make these DB's pay for it or play better fu*kin coverage. if the DB commits pass interference on the 1 yard line from the 40 yard line, move the ball down to the fukkin 1. i bet that'll make him play better coverageOriginally posted by Buffalo NickleNFL spot of foul on pass interference is the worst rule in football. #8Yea alot of grabbing goes on. Ive always seen at the last second a wr push off and catch ball too, ref will be looking right at it and no call. I see this in basketball alot too when a guy is about to rebound he'll give the guy a nudge or push no call unless its blatant. In football you lose or win games because of refs, penalties, and guys grabbing and pushing and the ref swallows his whistle. But theyll look for any hold or hands to the back when it doesnt even affect the play.Originally posted by JayDr3amlol we must not be watching the same football buffalo. these DB's are holding passed 5 yards, grabbing arms, holding the receivers hips and the refs just sits there and doesnt call it.. they need to change the rule cause its getting out of hand now. #9I played some db in high school, I think its the 2nd hardest position behind qb. Youre on an island and if you have a guy who is taller, can fly or leap well you can have some fear out there. In college they pretty much want you to turn your head to defend and theyll let you get away with more once the ball gets to the receiver, alot of guys dont turn their head because you just have this feeling that as soon as you do then youre not gonna pick up the ball or itll go whirling by you and you slow down a little, in the NFL there are some good dbs wholl keep their backs to the qb and just focus on the wr and watch his hands and eyes and try to get your hand between his, its very hard for him to make a catch like that, only thing is if he slows up or changes his route and comes back youll be called for DPI because you didnt turn your head. Hard position to play, they need to call more grabbing penalties though for DPI and pushing off when ball is about to arrive for OPI.Originally posted by JayDr3amlol we must not be watching the same football buffalo. these DB's are holding passed 5 yards, grabbing arms, holding the receivers hips and the refs just sits there and doesnt call it.. they need to change the rule cause its getting out of hand now.
