Dude, I'm not trying to be a dick here.....but using win probability calculations--Alabama has an 80.39% chance of winning this game v. Ole Miss, the price (-410) holds no value relative to the risk involved.

In other words, it's a really dumb and pussy bet. The win doesn't justify the risk. It's stupid. There is a reason why books make money--and it's bets like these. Pros don't do this shit.

Oh, Mr.E,, I don't bet a -410 on a straight bet. Heavens no! I like to play a lot of moneline parlays. 2 OR 3 teams tops. Bama at -410 with Georgia at -250 figures out to 100/75. Not a terrible lay.
I'm with you 100%. If you lose that bet you must win 4 in a row to get back to even. Probably wouldn't pair bama with Georgia either. 2 away teams to win for one bet.. nope. Would more than likely go with a home fav on that parlay.

I have pulled in a profit the past 4 years in every sport I bet, and I bet nothing but parlays. A high percentage 2 team parlay is a way better proposition to betting so much chalk on a ML bet. Case in point, I have a $1000 2 teamer for this weekend, ASU - 19, SDSU - 10.5.
A good high probability bet with a nice potential payoff. Betting -410 ML straight bets is a good way to lose your bankroll, quick!

actually 2 team parlays r more profitable overall than straight bets, caveat: IF one is already a yr-to-yr consistent winning capper to begin with.
otherwise an average bettor (commonly, a loser over time) will quickly bankrupt himself betting parlays.

just for sh*ts&giggles i will rr a bunch of parlays with chump change each week to have some fun.
