I play the game to make money, NOT to gamble. What I do is make my lines before the Vegas Hotels put their lines out, and then simply look for the lines that I think are wrong. There are others like myself who also do this. The important thing is to be the first in line at the wagering windows because these odds change very quickly.

Through all the heat he gets, Bigdaddy is a knowledgable college football guy. Notre Dame at a pick was a lay up. I took a few early but the limits were pretty low.

That is a major problem. Low lines. Books are so desperate to get money in that they will lay lines far in advance of the games. They are also so afraid to lose money that they will establish low limits so they do not take a major hit. If you want to play big money, you had better have a lot of friends and relatives willing to stand in line for you at the windows.
