    Texas - 15 and USC -30 WTF???
Should be the other way around.

Washington is not a place you waltz in and adminster a 30 point whipping.

Tex tech does not have the horses to stay on the same field. Forget about Texas's offense. The defense is extremely deep. Their backup defensive end was all-big 12 last year. This defense rushes the QB without blitzing and are absolutely punishing tacklers in the secondary. Both teams play the 2nd team by the 4th qtr.

but Tex should be -30 and USC should be -15.

I agree that Texas wins by as much as SC. Texas has all the reason in the world to focus on their game. They need to keep winning big to stay ahead of VT and Alabama, while SC has no such issue. Southern Cal almost certainly will let down here, and as SBR John said, Washington, despite having little talent, will be up for the game, and it is a tough place to play.

The thing with Texas Tech's explosive offense is, some teams understand how to play defense against it and some don't. Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas are on the short list of teams that understand the proper way to defense a Mike Leach attack. No one is going to completely shut them down, except when the Sooner defense was in its absolute prime. Texas scores 50.

When I made my lines out, Texas was 19 and USC was 25.5

No i think he's mad at me. I made a few jokes about him to CRIS and next thing I know he blocked me on MSN. Talk about not being able to take a joke.

I dont know yet if I will bet the Texas game. Tech could be down by 4 TD's late in the 4th and still find a back door. Got to respect their scoring ability or at least consider that point.

Hey John, did you see my post about mods getting a free shirt. What do we have to do? I know we are going to give away like 2,000 once the prick contest is over, but come on. I'll pay for one if I have to.

Which is why I am more tempted with 1st Half Texas-9.5.

Texas does seem to find away to stumble at some point normally, but I don't think this is the game. Whether -15 is to soft, which i believe it is. I couldn't imagine a book getting balance action on -30.

Texas was a -3 favorite last year and put a 30 point beating on Tech in Lubbock. In that game Texas ran the ball for over 350 yards and held the ball for 40 minutes. The Texas defense is much better this year and the game is in Austin.

In Tech's favor they come into this game loose with nothing to lose.

In my opinion the key to this spread win/loss will be how well Texas's very good secondary plays. There is no doubt they will pressure the QB.

I would look for a score similiar to last years 51-21 drubbing.

That Tech QB I think will be using a walker for most of this week. Texas didnt even look that sharp. It was an excuse me beating.

After I saw Texas beating up OK, I thought they could run all over everyone. But I was still too chicken to lay out 15.5 against Tech. Dumb dumb!

                                  Good call, John!

                                    Texas got the breaks

I was not impressed with Texas QB

JJ, I didn't see the game. Only read the recap and checked stats. Tech has impressive offensive stats. But from what I saw of Texas, they move the ball quickly. Last week, they lead 7-0 when I went to prepare coffee. When I returned, they were up 21-0! And against OU, it was like watching 2 teams from different divisions.

I think their D and special units create a lot of opportunities. Plus, Young is very mobile. They should go unbeaten the rest of the way and set the stage for a USC-Texas match up.

That would be a hell of a game. I would not want to take a piss for fear of missing something. Tough call on the win also.

Actually JJ, Tech got quite a few mercy calls in the 2nd half.

Tech wears down a lot of defenses but you cant do that to Texas. It was hot out there and I didnt see one Texas player cramping up.

Young was off, missed open receivers. If he was sharp they would of won by 3 more TD's. btw JJ, thats about the 3rd straight non cover for USC. All of the sudden the USC defense is suspect.
