Iowa vs. Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

Just my informed opinion, not official yet.

This has the makings of serious controversy.

If Ohio State jumps ahead of Iowa in the CFP the Rose Bowl must select the highest rated B1G team available.

Iowa deserves the bid but it wouldn't surprise me to see Ohio State undeservedly leap frog them in the poll.

Ohio State vs. Stanford in the Rose Bowl, Ohio State's spot was basically already determined before today. Because winner of tonight's game obviously goes to Playoff and Ohio State would have in all likelihood leapfrogged loser whichever team it was. Fact that Iowa was the team that lost makes it easier since Hawkeyes had easier schedule.

It seems this is not a judgement call once rankings are release, as person above me pointed out, Rose must take highest ranked Big Ten team. And since Pac-12 champ is not in Playoff, it too is locked in. So no leeway for this bowl, only way to prevent Ohio State vs. Stanford would be to keep Iowa ranked ahead of Ohio State, which will not happen.

Iowa should go to Rose Bowl. But I have a feeling it will be OSU. I'll also flip out of Okla State goes to Sugar. They're not a good team at all.

Not even close. Iowa did not play Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State (during regular season). Their best wins were Wisconsin and Northwestern. Bleh.
