    Should I book this bet?
My good buddy is a Florida fan, and he said he wants to bet $100 on Florida ML if it gets to 10-1 odds. As of now, the highest I see is +700 and I don't know if it'll get to +1000. I may take him up on that...

This is free money for me if UF plays like they did vs FAU and Florida St. However, if their D shows up it could be a one score game in the second half.

I could see it close early, but personally I see Bama pulling away and winning 27-13 or so. It's Florida's offense that I don't think will have much success, leading to a Bama win. College games can be unpredictable, but I haven't seen anything in the past few weeks to make me think UF wins.

I get my Christmas bonus next week, so losing a grand would hurt, but wouldn't be the end of the world.

    Thoughts?

I guess I need to look at risk/reward. A free C-note never hurts, but it's not a lot in the big scheme of things, and giving out 10-1 odds to people can get you in trouble.

I'm trying to think if I were a Vegas bookmaker, would I even be nervous about this?

Florida is +700. If you want to entice this guy, give him 725, but nothing more. It would take a freak play or two for Florida to win, but Alabama knows all too well about freak plays going against them.

Yeah fraternity brother of mine from college. Doesn't ever bet on games himself, but once a week or so he calls me and tells me what bets he thinks are the best. Air bettor.

Wouldn't mind taking his hundo to be honest with ya haha

If he is really that good of a buddy, you can do it this way. Make the wager. If you win (and you probably will) let him keep the money and hope you have taught him a valuable lesson. The bottom line here is this. Can you afford $700.00 if lightning strikes again and how good of a friend is this guy?

Risk $700 to win 0. Nice plan. Friend losing 100 bucks is a valuable lesson.

How old are you? 3? If $700.00 is a lot of money for you to risk, do not even join in the conversation. This guy is trying to teach his friend a lesson and trying to make it as painless as possible. Obviously you have no true friends.

You're a penetrating moron. How does that teach him a lesson? Him making a bad bet and not paying does not teach a lesson. "You made a dumb bet I'm not taking your money don't do it again" Are you going to have an angry tone and shake your head when you say it?

Doing something dumb with no repercussions doesn't make you learn from your mistake.

But to the OP if your friend wants +1000 on Florida and you want to take that action why wouldn't you just bet on Bama and get a better price

Looks like my bookie career is off and running... I'm going to give him +750.

Saban will have them ready with so much to play for, and I can see Derrick Henry gashing them for big yardage in the second half and Bama pulling away.

                          Bama wins 31-10 or so
