Think about this. A one loss Alabama team not even winning their division. No Power 5 Conference Champ goes undefeated. All of this can happen and rather easily, though I think that Ohio State will run the table. If Georgia gets past Florida on Halloween (what a day to have this game), the SEC Eastern Champ will have at least two losses. The Big 12 will be wild. None of their teams play very well on the road. The ACC is down to Clemson, but Dabo has NEVER gone undefeated. Stanford appears to have the Pac 12 North in hand, with away games at Washington State and Colorado, followed by home games with Oregon and Cal to finish up the Conference season. Unfortunately, between their last conference game against Cal, and the Pac 12 CC game, they must host Notre Dame. That game could determine a spot in the playoffs. It is going to be crazy.

#2A lot of what-if scenarios. Really too early to start thinking about the final 4 right now. Ohio State is going to have a really hard time at Michigan this year, I think. Toughest game they'll have played at Ann Arbor in a very long time. Also think the Big 12 is going to beat each other up over the course of the next month and may not send anyone to the playoffs again.
Notre Dame-Stanford appears to be a huge game setting up. If Clemson wins out, Notre Dame has a good chance of getting in as one of the 1-loss teams if they win out. But Notre Dame has THREE road games against ranked teams, the toughest being Stanford. If Notre Dame had Zaire, I'd say they could do it. But not sure they can win out with Kizer. If Stanford wins out, they've got a good shot. I think ND and Stanford's wins against USC are going to look good in the end as I think USC is going to run the table.Comment -

#5Take the top six from conference champions. Throw in two teams on merit. Play an 8 team bracket and call it done. What this will do is limit the amount of conversation and DRAMA. They don't want that! So they keep it interesting for more fans and drive the sports popularity. Not a perfect system, but I'll take it. If ND won every game on a FG 3-0 they would make the playoffs. Its just more politics fellas. Whatever makes the most doe is the choice they make.Comment
