Kansas Down to 3rd String Frosh QB
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) Kansas quarterback Montell Cozart is out with a shoulder sprain and Deondre Ford is done for the season with a thumb injury, forcing freshman Ryan Willis to start Saturday's against No. 3 Baylor.

Jayhawks coach David Beaty made the announcements Monday.

The Jayhawks (0-4) also lost top quarterback Michael Cummings to a season-ending knee injury during the spring game. Cozart was injured in last Saturday's loss at Iowa State, while Ford was hurt in a game at Rutgers, when Cozart was already sidelined by an illness.
Willis filled in for Cozart on the final few series against the Cyclones, going 8 of 16 for 100 yards. Before that game, his only experience was two plays in the opener against South Dakota State.

The Bears (4-0) were already 42-point favorites.

There is absolutely zero doubt that Baylor could win this game by 100. That is not an exaggeration by any means, they could easily do it. The question is will they? The line has moved up to 45, but I don't think it matters. Baylor went into Lawrence in 2011 with RG3 heavily favored ( I think by 35 or so) and KU almost pulled the outright upset, sending it to OT. But KU actually had an underrated defense that year. NOT the case in 2015. They are by far the worst power 5 team in the country and now with the third string QB, which in all honesty is not a huge downgrade from QB's 1 and 2, needing to probably score at least 20 to cover. I don't know, it's so hard to lay this number on the conference road, but this might be the worst KU team since I have been alive, and they've had some bad ones.

ill, I've hit the Baylor team total the last two weeks. It's been at 53-54 both weeks and they've scored 70 and 63.

I think their team total will be closer to 60 this weekend.

I would be shocked if they don't put up 55. If they don't, then there must have been a tornado roll through Lawrence or they played five minute quarters with a running clock. I hate comparing point margins from different weeks, but Baylor put up 49 against Tech last week in the first half and KU is much worse than Tx Tech.

Only hope for KU is that Baylor runs the ball and takes out all starters in the 2nd half. Briles has a history of humiliating inferior talent though so its unlikely

They'll put up over 80 on rock chalk in Waco. Gotta win as impressively as possible...no slowing down the train this weekend...
