Good question. He wanted the Nebraska job bad and he would have been just what the program needed. He could have brought the athletes Nebraska is going to need to compete with Ohio St. et. al. in the Big.

No 5 star recruits are going to want to live in Hicktown,Nebraska for 4 or 5 years playing for a geriatric HC like Riley so look for 4 more years of Husker irrelevancy until Riley's contract expires and he retires at age 66.

Orgeron is one of the best recruiters there is with a pipeline down south and he could have got it done.

Wow what a missed opportunity for Nebraska.

Mike Riley said he called a bootleg RUN on 3rd down with 55 seconds left and his dumb black QB passed the ball. Cant trust a black QB. And Mike Riley is dumb for even putting him in that situation.

If Nebraska simply takes a 2 knees there they win the game. Illinois would have gotten the ball with maybe 15 seconds left needing to score a TD.

Has nothing to do with being a black qb. Eli Manning did the same dumb shitt against the Cowboys week 1 that cost them the game. It has to do w/ your 2nd point. Just take two knees or continue to feed your fb those last 2 plays and that's game. Just flat out bad coaching
