    Navy QB
Without Hampton at QB what are the midshipmen's chances against Notre Dame. Do you think they can get a cover?

Considering Rutgers totally dominated Navy after Hampton was injured, I wouldn't even think about betting Navy in this one. I like ND as they should be able to handle Navy rather easily.

I usually agree with that Pags. However, this line seems short to me. I thought Navy would have been getting a few more than 14 points in this one with the QB question mark.

Navy was a 2.5 point favorite against Rutgers at home.
Navy is a 14.5 point dog against Notre Dame at what is basically a home game.
Rutgers is as good as or better than Notre Dame.
Is Hampton worth anywhere near 17 points? Hell no. Especially, as pags said, with Paul Johnson having two weeks to prepare for a Notre Dame team that has only covered one time in 11 tries.

While I like Rutgers, saying they are as good or better as Notre Dame is too ambitious. Rutgers has played good ball this year, but their schedule has been trivial compared to Notre Dame's.

So, how does Rutgers go into Navy and win 34-0 and Navy is still considered good? I think Notre Dame is just about right in this game. They haven't done a good job blowing teams out this season, but they have been able to finish games.

well we'll see...I just think ND wins by anywhere between 10-17...I don't think the edge is necessarily with Navy is all I am saying.

I don't know where Lee Corso is, but I know "the prick" is on ND this week.

I thought the line was a bit short myself and the fact that it is going down has me scratching my head a bit. Eventually, Weis has to understand that he not only does he need to win games, but if he wants to play in the BCS he has to start winning games decisively, ie at least covering the spread. Whether or not he actually can, well, that's a whole different question. Fading ND sure has been a good play this season. But they may be the play this week.
