Opening kickoff of Bama game?

Ohio state kicks off,Bama player drops ball in the end zone and the ball is just sitting there,no whistle yet,it's a live ball,another Bama player comes over grabs the ball and takes a knee for a touchback,there were two or three Buckeye players just standing there instead of jumping on the live ball,of course the announcers don't even mention it because i don't think they realized there wasn't a whistle yet.Just thought it was strange.

Was it ever mentioned during the game? just curious if they caught it.

Yes, but about an hour later...I couldn't believe it..such a potentially significant play, especially if you were on OSU Spread and ML like I was.

Announcers did mention it but OSU players weren't just standing there. To me it looked like they were running down into end zone just as the Bama player covered the ball.

They definitely could have got there, they pulled up and even the bama player who recovered, hesitated in picking it up. I'm sure the official in the end zone was like W-T-F!!

Most of these guys have no clue what the rules are. They're just great athletes with heads like a brick, doesnt mean they know the game
