Nope no bum deal, they didn't deserve to be in. First they didn't beat Baylor, then they didn't play in a conference title game. Where there is only 4 teams getting in you can't just leave a good team out that wins the conference championship. Add a team where they can have a conference title game and then maybe they will deserve a shot.
overrated SEC getting smashed again

#37Bc they play 3 or 4 weeks in a row against enough competition to fill other teams schedule for an entire season. This might be the dumbest post I have seen.Comment -

#38Lay off the drugs. Ever considered that some teams like Ole Miss and MS State's season was over when they missed out on the final four chances. Don't forget either that Ole Miss was missing THEIR BEST OFFENSIVE THREAT IN YEARS, 2 offensive lineman, and a couple pivotal defensive starters. Pac 12 lol that's funnyComment -

#41That's not why they do it. They started doing it to get an edge over their ACC rivals: Clemson, GT, and FSU. After Florida, Georgia, and USC started scheduling a bye or FCS game the week before their season-ending rivalry games, the Alabama and Mississippi schools decided they'd do it too, although it doesn't make a difference if the opponent is doing the same thing.Comment -

#42Of course, they got a bum deal. They're out because Gary Andersen decided to go to Oregon State, and his team no-showed versus Ohio State. Ohio State isn't 59 points better than Wisconsin; they aren't even 5 points better. But the committee gave them credit for something they didn't deserve. And WTF does a conference championship game have to do with anything?Comment -

#43As an OU fan I don't really care if the Big 12 sucks as long as OU is good. Obviously OU quit on the season after choking against KSU so whatever. I come out and admit it when the Conference is down. I'm not a fan of a conference. That's retarded.
Fans of teams like Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St, Vandy, Arkansas, etc. chant SEC because their teams will never win anything. They have to hang their hat on what Bama, LSU, or whoever the dominant team is that year does.
The reason he SEC won so many Championships is BC they had Meyer and Saban which are the two best coaches in the game. Les Miles road what Saban built to a title at LSU.
The other title was a stroke of luck for Auburn BC they got Newton.
It's a good Conference but it's not as superior as people make it seem.
SEC bias has all their teams ranked high and then they don't drop when they lose to each other.
Ole Miss and Miss State were both ranked #1 during the season. What a joke.
Seven BCS championships in the last 8 years is no coincidence. The fact is that a tough 3 month schedule against the best college football athletes and coaches in the nation will weed and produce the best team; The best team ready for any, ANY, major conference opponent (no matter preparation time) on a any field and on any day. You think Ohio State has seen the gauntlet of opponents AL has seen? No way. I'd probably STFU about other conferences dude. You got waxed by a pathetic Clemson team. Oh wait. I forgot. You said they gave up after the KSU loss. So, I guess that makes everyone from that campus flat out losers. Pathetic players and coaches will never amount to anything in life of but entitlement recipients.Comment -

#45Auburn gave 149 yards rushing per game in the SEC. They're going to give up over 400 today.
LMAO.
Poor Georgia fan with the post above. That's another SEC team that won't win a national championship anytime soon.
They have what, 1 title in the last 73 years? Lol. And the Georgia fan is talking shit about OU, a program with seven titles? Lol.
I would expect Georgia fans to cling to conference pride as well. What else can they hang their hat on?
Go Bama and SEC right Georgia?Comment -

#46You are right, it's not coincidence. ...it's clever marketing and propaganda by ESecPN to overhype and overrank the league in the preseason so there is pretty much a guarantee that they finished atop the BCS rankingsComment -

#48SEC West 2-5 in bowls.
Gave up over 30 in all five losses. Their top three teams gave up over 40.
Good job beating WVU's backup QB and a 6-7 Texas team though.Comment -

#51Originally posted by mydickyoassKeep living in the past. What are you a UCLA bball fan? Perhaps a Celtics fan? SEC had a dominant run and they deserve respect for their nice 6-8 year run, but let's not act like they've been doing this for over a decade.Comment
