With the #1 and #2 teams getting a bye, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5, then the lower ranked winner faces #1 and the other faces #2 for the sugar and rose bowl. I dont think 8 is necessary, but 6 will be perfect. IMO. Clearly not for this year, but in the future.
