Not sure who Id pick on this one. A State should be able to move the ball.

I was leaning Irish until I heard of the injury to their LB. Holding off for now. Still might take it if it moves to -2.5 or -3

Should be a close game...but I feel that ND has been in more "big" games and will be better prepared mentally for the game. I think ND pulls out the win.

            Yeah, ND without Joe Schmidt.

Starting a possible true freshman at MLB.

Say this about Kelly-- he lost an All-American corner, his best pass rusher, and now his starting MLB, and he still finds a way.

Notre Dame's offense is becoming one of the scarier offenses in college football and I think they'll be able to put up some points on ASU. The question is whether losing Schmidt is going to cause problems on that defense. Notre Dame really strugged against Navy when they lost Schmidt. I would look at the over in this one. I think there'll be a lot of points. The Irish can score.

I find it interesting people are supporting ND here. I was thinking ASU at home would be the popular choice. They did beat Utah, Stanford, and USC. That is not easy to do. I have not seen them play personally. ND seems to struggle on defense. Look at the NC game, the Navy game. It should be a good game to watch at least.

ASU -1 now. It opened at -2. It looks like most people are on ND here.

Irish tend to get caught looking ahead. Irish won this matchup last year with Tommy Rees at QB and a weaker defense. Irish defensive coordinator used to have that job with the Jets, they didn't play Navy very much. Bet the Irish look a lot better vs Navy next year. I'll sit, watch and eat popcorn here but no play. Gut says Irish, wallet says popcorn.

Notre Dame actually was destroying Navy and I think let their guard down and started looking ahead and let them back in the game, but then finished them off in the end when they needed to. They did the same thing with NC. Tends to happen in look ahead games.

I think the main reason to look at ND is just the fact Brian Kelly/Everett Golson know how to win games and that offense is tough to stop. The area that's a question mark is how this defense performs without Schmidt. This is a defense already starting a lot of freshman and now have to start another one.

State's defense should keep them from faltering, if Kelly can be accurate enough and makes some plays with his legs and not turn the ball over they should win this.

                              Pac 12 teams always overrated.

                              Nd wins.

These are the Irish. They are not good as heavy favorites (they were 14+ against Navy and NC,) but they play the dog role really well. Also, the Unc game was the week before FSU and Navy obviously the week before ASU. Line up to 2.5. If it hits three or above it will be tough to not take ND.

Arizona State blitzes on 52% of its opponents' dropbacks, third-highest percentage among Power 5 defenses. The Sun Devils have found their most success when sending extra pass rushers. So the question is, How is notre dame offensive line because Everett Gohlson will get that ball off with time.
