WSU @ Stanford
This is an interesting game. We all know Stanford coming off a grueling road series. Huskies then Irish. Play lights out Defense, Top 5 in most categories.
I had this around two touchdowns and the 17 1/2 caught my eye. I really like QB Halliday for WSU. Kid has a live arm. Played well at Oregon and beat Utah as a 14 point dog. He has over 300+ yards in the air in every game. Broke the FBS passing record last week with 734 yards. 49 for 70, 6 Tds, no picks.
Now Stanford is a different beast. Trees have a great D. The best defense is to keep Halliday off the field. Run ball, burn clock, against a suspect Cougar D. (Lost 60-59 to Cal last week) Halliday drove to the 1 and they missed a short fg for the win in the final seconds.
One would suspect Trees should have some success here. Run the ball, time of possession and play great defense.
Friday game, so most will have action. I didn't watch much of the Stan/ N. Dame game. Hogan didn't look to sharp from what I saw and he ended 18/36 ~ 158 yards. More importantly TWO BRUTAL PICKS. I have to think 17 1/2 looks pretty strong for Cougars. Halliday should be live dog with that many points.
Any one feel differently and like Stanford at home?
Potential line movement?
