Jameis Winston will not play versus Clemson


Florida State announced late Friday night that redshirt sophomore QB Jameis Winston will not play in Saturday's game against Clemson.

The school's statement reads, "based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night." The release was signed by interim president Garnett Stokes and AD Stan Wilcox. Telling. This is obviously a very late change, as Winston was initially suspended for just a half. Sean Maguire will likely play the entire game.

FSU sure could use Trickett right about now.

I think FSU still wins but who knows if it'll be close or not. FSU really hasn't been playing well all season and something like this can either have the team implode or they could circle the wagons and beat the brakes off of Clemson. This is a great game to live bet. It'll be fairly easy to see if Toby Maguire is up for the challenge at QB and who can control the LOS.

One thing that always concerns me about FSU is their real lack of a running game. I think their running game is average and that will eventually catch up to them.
