    NCAAF Suspensions
The suspension wire is heating up. Might be beneficial to start a thread.

Auburn starting safety suspended tonight. A freshman will step in.

Auburn suspended starting safety Jermaine Whitehead for Thursday night's game against No. 20 Kansas State for a violation of team rules.
Whitehead did not accompany the fifth-ranked Tigers to Manhattan, Kan., for the nonconference game between top 25 teams.
One report indicated that the suspension resulted from Whitehead having a heated verbal confrontation with an assistant coach.
Whitehead ranks fourth on the team in tackles with 12 and has a team-leading two interceptions. He returned one interception for a touchdown in the season opener against Arkansas.
Freshman Stephen Roberts is listed on Auburn's depth chart as the backup to Whitehead.
Last season, Whitehead finished with 65 tackles. He has started 26 consecutive games at safety.

Worley started @ Corner as a Freshman. Best cover guy for WVA and one of their top defensive players. Kid will play on Sunday and could be a big loss against a Sooner team that wants to sling it.

West Virginia cornerback Daryl Worley turned himself into authorities after Morgantown Police issued a warrant charging him with battery Wednesday. Worley was arraigned and released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
According to Morgantown police, there's surveillance footage showing Worley in an argument with a woman outside Lux Nightclub early Sunday morning. Worley allegedly put his hands around the woman's throat and pushed her down, but the victim was not seriously hurt in the incident.
West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen announced Monday that Worley had been suspended indefinitely for a "violation of team rules." Holgorsen did not comment on the suspension when asked about it during a press conference Tuesday.
A sophomore, Worley has played in all three games for the Mountaineers this season, making 17 tackles and picking off two passes.

Thanks, Pivot. I believe the Auburn backup is a JUCO? Still will be his first start for the Tigers, but potentially better than a true freshman.

My money is on Auburn, so I am trying to look at the positive, haha.

TEXAS TECH fires Defensive Coordinator. At least he wasn't slapping around women, but even coaches aren't immune. Wonder what he was under the influence of?

Texas Tech fired defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt on Thursday, according to CoachingSearch.com. Mike Smith is expected to replace Wallerstedt.
ESPN reported that Wallerstedt was told to leave the school's football facility on Monday after being suspected of being there while under the influence of an unknown substance
Smith is a Texas Tech graduate and co-defensive coordinator as well as outside linebackers coach.
Wallerstedt was in his second season with the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech is coming of a 49-28 loss to Arkansas in Lubbock, Texas. In the loss, the Red Raiders gave up 438 yards on the ground to the Razorbacks.
