My first college football bet of the year, and probably the only play in week one... FSU -20

I know I didn't get the best number but I still like the Noles to cover here.

Parity is evident with some of the earlier games, but Florida St. isn't just good, they are elite, and I have plenty of faith in the amount of talent they return. Cowboys, on the other hand, have too many question marks that won't be answered tonight. Florida St. will roll in the first game of their title defense.

Well, it does STILL matter. if you cant SUCCESSFULLY run, it doesnt do near as much to keep the defensive backfield honest. FSU is gonna blitz regardless, but if you cant establish the run (regardless of whether or not you keep trying it) safeties dont have to creep up and DBs dont need to keep their eyes in the backfield as much. Its a lot harder to set up play action when the front 7 has no problems shutting the run down
