Coach Bowden has the Akron program and fan base on the rise with hopeful expectations.Having won 5 games last year vs one game a year earlier. They won the last 3 games of last season but more impressive: as a +36.5 dog they lost 24-28 to Michigan and as +23.5 dogs they lost 20-27 to N.ILL. They return 14 starters including QB Pohl and some good receivers who ranked in the TOP 10 in many categories. They also have a very good special team and a good punter(yes this is important).Dont want to get too winded here : AKRON -21.5....2 UNITS....One worry is that they have Penn.
