Great Turkey Day for me, hope yours was too DMoney! I was looking at UCF/USF and it seems too easy...trying to find a way to talk myself out of UCF but I do like them. Don't want to touch Marshall/WKent...maybe play under just cuz that's at lot of points but I see your point. The UCLA line keeps dropping, think it's UCLA -6 now...should have got them earlier! I also like Wiscy, Minn RB is either out or limited from what I hear so might pull the trigger on Wiscy. Another one is Navy now -8', I don't think S AL can hang with them but I get nervous laying over a TD with Navy...

I am still deciding but will be posting some more plays soon, like tomorrow's games more than today though.

Grabbed this as line starts to climb- UMASS QB doubtful and backup Whipple looked bad last time out. Buffalo should be able to run the ball and I like them here...only downside is layoff from postponed game last week

Wyoming D isn't bad against the run, not saying they will shut down powerful New Mex rush O but at least slow them down. Wyoming O doesn't score many points. It was a while ago but Wyo did handle similar Air Force team getting upset win

So 2-1 yesterday, grinding away. Wyoming scored more points than I thought, thought I might get that one but I'll take a winning day. Season has flown by it seems, looking forward to some good games and bowl season! Did very well last year with bowls and hoping to do same this year. I grabbed FSU -3' for the ACC Champ game, will do write-up later.

FSU is certainly not the team they were last year but I think they will beat GA Tech by at least a TD. Key points will be how well FSU takes care of the ball and how well GA tech handles FSU offense. GA Tech gives up 5.08 yds/ rush att and 220 yds passing/game. They also are not great on 3rd downs, allowing 1st down 45%. They average 1.5 sacks per game and if Winston is not pressured he should have better success. GA Tech is near the bottom of the ACC in defensive stats.

Winston must make better decisions and avoid INT's. They had a bunch the last three games and could hurt them again. FSU seems to have found a replacement at RB for K. Williams in D. Cook, 94 yds vs BC and 144 vs. FLA. If anything I feel he will have as much if not more success vs GA Tech.

FL ST is strong on D in the red zone, opponents score 70% (7th in nation). They allow 145 yds/game rushing and face a one-dimensional GA Tech team that will be run heavy. They did hold FLA to 113 yds rush, after giving up 240! vs BC. So it depends on how they play the run, GA Tech doesn't pass much but they can pick up big plays in the passing game.

Special teams definitely favor FSU, have one of the best FG kickers in nation while GA Tech kicker is 11/18 for year and 2/7 from 30-39 yds!

If FSU takes care of the ball (BIG if!) I think this will be a 31-21 type score.

So 1-2 last week, got backdoored by GaTech, went to the game and left with like 3 min to go...heard a big roar as I was leaving stadium...painful! Oh well, onto the next games. Excited for bowl season, also looking at Navy/Army rivalry game but Army hasn't done much this year and leaning Navy but 14' is a lot of points to lay in an emotional game. Also looking at Baylor/Mich St, Baylor -2' now and seems to be climbing... maybe need to get this before it gets to -3?

Utah -2'

I like Utah going against Col St today. Utah has played tougher competition, 3 of 4 losses have been against ranked opponents. They have a strong D, leading the nation in sacks and giving up 245 yds/game passing. They have a strong running game led by D Booker (1350 yds) and face a Col St team that has given up 100 yds + rushing every game this year. Col St has a powerful passing game, but has lost HC and OC Baldwin will take over for bowl game. Col St has had a great turnaround year but faced much weaker competition this year than Utah. Col st has lost last 15 games against ranked opponents and while that doesn't mean much for today I think Utah is too much of a step up for them today.

Like the motivation angle here for Memphis. They have the better D and should create problems for BYU's O-line. BYU has a good QB but isn't very mobile and think Memphis can affect his game. One concern is Memphis doesn't have a real high quality win, probably best was against Cincy. BYU has played tougher competition and HC Mendenhall has a strong bowl track record. I think this will be a lower scoring game and a close one. Hopefully Memphis pulls it out 28-21.

Thanks Bet10, glad the Tigers pulled it out...what a game! I enjoy capping games and try to give my reasoning, I've learned a lot from others and like sharing info...Leaning hard to N. ILL against Marshall, gonna look a little harder before I pull the trigger. I cap these bowl games a little different than reg season, motivation is not easy to judge but I believe it makes a big difference. Also look at coaching situations, anytime a coach is leaving I look to see who is taking over. A lot of times it's a co-ordinator who is wanting to win to help his "audition" for the HC job. I have done pretty well in bowl games last few years (undocumented at SBR) so hopefully this year will be good also.

Like SD St and their #21 D against Navy. Navy QB Reynolds is a heck of a player but I don't think he has the supporting cast this year. SD St HC Long has a great track record against option teams and SD St is a physical team. They have been playing well lately and think this continues in the bowl...SD St 31 - Navy 21

Staying away from Marshall/NIU. Can see that Marsh RB D. Johnson will play more this game (only 7 carries L2 games hurt their O) I think Marshall will have a more balanced attack. NIU doesn't seem to have an explosive O, QB is more of a running threat. Neither team has played any great competition but NIU hasn't seem many QB's like Cato in the MAC. I think it will be a lower scoring game than many people think, Marshall has allowed 27+ points only once this year. I'm not sure they can score enough points to keep up if Marshall gets it going on O. Would think about under the total but again, Marshall certainly could go off and score 50...Marshall HC 2-0 in bowls.

Think La Tech is much better team, can stop the run and run ball well. Lead nation in turnovers, not sure ILL motivation level. Had some decent wins end of year to get HC job for next year. Suspended players for La Tech yes but don't think it will matter. La Tech playing well at end of year, lost close one to Marshall, pretty good pass D, ILL not strong running the ball. Pretty even strength of sched for both. La Tech very good ATS this year. Like La to come out strong and take this against a disinterested ILL team ... 35-21 La Tech

Bet10- I think this is a tough one, Hokies have excellent D, especially against the pass. Hokie DB Fuller is a good one. Of course Cinci has Kiel at QB having a great season but Cinci hasn't played as tough a schedule. I tend to go with strong D after both teams with a layoff. Beamer hasn't been I'm good health and not sure what bowl prep has been like. He isn't great in bowls anyway 9-12 I think. Hokies have held some good offensive teams in check this season, beating Duke and limiting Miami when they were playing well late in the year. Cinci only has an average D but Hokies O isn't gonna scare anyone. Cinci D isn't very good on 3rd down and their resume includes wins against teams like SMU, Houston, Tulane, etc. I don't like this game as a play...if anything I would play under 50'. I don't think Cinci will put up 30+ and don't trust Va Tech to get more than 21. Also can't argue with Va Tech on ML, decent value there.

I do like Penn St and over in USC/ Nebraska and Miami so far. Haven't played them yet, still looking at a few things.

Taking the better D here. Penn St allows 84 yds/gm rushing and although BC is a good running team if they can't run their passing game doesn't worry me. Penn St has their struggles on O but I really like Hackenburg at QB and if BC has a defensive weakness it's against the pass. I also like HC Franklin and think Penn St will be motivated being back in a bowl game after ban was lifted. I think the wrong team is favored here and considered a ML play but am happy line went to +3 and will guess it's an easier win for Penn St than most people think, taking points to be safe.

Had a good day yesterday trying to keep it going. Glad I stayed away from a side in the USC/Neb game, USC teams seem to lack mental toughness to me and I was worried about if Neb would play hard for Pellini, but I did think there would be lots of points.
