Nebraska Defense Hit Hard

Yesterday, the Nebraska defense lost two starters in the secondary and a backup linebacker. Starting CB Charles Jackson blew a knee out. Starting S LeRoy Alexander is suspended for the season. Finally backup LB Michael Rose is out with a knee injury. There losses, along with the loss of backup S. Drake Martinez really hurt the Huskers, who were depending on their defense to win games for them until their very young and inexperienced offense can get it together. The offense had better hurry. They have away games at Michigan State on 10/4 and at Northwestern on 10/18. They also host Miami (FL) on 9/20.
