      Your first, second, and fourth sentences are correct, but the third one is not. FCS is D1, as in 1AA (formerly). They can't compete for the D2 championship because they are not D2. I went to Brown, so I guess I care a little about getting this right, but I don't care enough to keep arguing. I don't even remember why this came up in this thread.

            I wasn't calling them Division 2.

            They are FCS, or formerly DI-AA.

            The Ivies, as you know-- are non-scholarship.

            The "D1" FOOTBALL programs are the 1-A programs----there are 125 of them.

            Harvard, Princeton, Brown--- do not compete in 1-A football.
