Michigan State +4.5 vs. Stanford?

Line has quickly moved from +3 to +4.5. It was actually a PK at BOL for a brief period of time.

Teams seem evenly-matched on paper and virtual mirror images of each other. Am I missing something here as to why the line has gone all the way to 4.5? Stanford's experience at the Rose Bowl that much of a factor? I figured this would be Stanford -3 at most.

They are similar teams in terms if style but keep in mind Michigan St played all year against the Big 10 and Stanford played against the PAC 12. The PAC 12 is significantly tougher and Stanford is one of if not THE most prepared teams in all of college football when it comes to big games. Stanford wins this game by 2 TD.

Stanford lost to both USC and Utah on the road. Stanford has lost 11 games in the past 5 years and 9 of them have been on the road. 4 1/2 points is just oo much to give with these two bal control defensive minded teams.

Solid post. It's mostly just people shitting on the Big 10, but this year I think it's justified. 2 TD may be a bit steep, but I can see a win by 7-10 happening more often that not.
