What do I do with the 'Noles guys?
I put down $6.00 (yeah, I know I'm cheap) on FSU to win the BCS championship game at +170 a couple weeks ago (to win $10.20) Now I have a choice to stick with it and then put down some (to hedge) on the team they face in the championship game to guarantee a profit OR

The odds right now that the field (not FSU) wins the BSC game is +180.
So do I place $4 on this, which guarantees a profit either way?

Or should I wait until after this weekend to see who FSU faces. There is always a slim possibility they lose to Duke on Sat., right?? In that case, I lose out.
I'm thinking that the opponent in the BCS game will be at about +250, which would mean putting $4 on the opponent (to hedge) gives me at least a $4 profit any way you slice it.

    Suggestions?

All this for $6.00? For that little amount of money, just let it ride.

$6.00 is normal for me though. It's like $60 for most guys on here according to what I read.
Sadly, I started with less than $100 on 5Dimes - all I can afford.
Even a $1.00 win is a good day for me.

Thanks for your input though BDQH.

I started betting at start of NCAA tourney last year with just $20, and saw it rise to $60 without any help, but nba playoffs plummetted me and I lost it all, not really knowing how to tread water or get marginal profits.
I still don't have betting sense - seem to always hover around the same balance, though I win about 60% of my bets.
I also have not watched FSU at all this year (or other college football for that matter), but have heard they are pretty much unstoppable. If they are guaranteed to win this Saturday, I will let it ride and then hedge some (???) on their opponent in the champ. game.

Hedge now? Or before the BCS champ. game?

                Guess what I'm asking is...
Any way Noles lose vs. Duke on Saturday? If pretty sure bet, I'll hold off until next week as the hedge odds will be better.
                Thanks for your input BigBear!

Yes Duke will be the first quality opponent FSU has played in a long time.

The weather will be rain and that helps slow down FSU's speed burners

Have decided to put down $4.00 on the field (FSU NOT to win) for the BCS championship game. It's +190 today, so I get a profit whether FSU wins or loses. Just too much going on with this Wineston ordeal to take a chance.
Never been in a position to make a profit whether a team wins of loses, so I'll take the free money.
