Northern Illinois has passed Fresno State in the BCS Polls, meaning that Fresno State will NOT get a BCS bid this season. The reason why NIU passed Fresno is because of the computers, that rank NIU at #7 in the nation, and the fact that Fresno State plays one of the most pathetic schedules around. The entire MWC folded this season. Fresno State is now stuck closing the season with 5-6 San Jose State, and then a Championship game against an 8-4 Utah State team or worse, a rematch with a very poor Boise State team. NIU closes with a very poor Western Michigan team, but face a three loss Buffalo ro Bowling Green team. Two of Buffalo's losses are to Oho State and Baylor. If NIU defeats Buffalo in the CC game, they are home free.

KD, I just don't understand why you're such a homer. Fresno would get blown off the field by any other top 25 team.
Not only that, but, if Carr played in a conference that even had a pulse, he wouldn't put up anything close to the numbers he has. Carr has about a 0.000001% chance of winning the heisman, and I think I was quite generous with that number.

Simple. NIU plays better teams than FSU does down the stretch. That helps NIU in the computer rankings and they are already way ahead of FSU in that regard. The MWC will have 6 teams Bowl Eligable and the MAC will have 7. NIU need only win their last remaining game, the CC game against either Bowling Green or Buffalo. Fresno State must win their last regular season game, against San Jose State (whihc they should do easily), win their CC game, and also hope that Wyoming does not upset Uah State, which would leave Boise State in the CC, a team that Fresno has already defeated but by only 1 point.
