    UNC at Pitt (pick)
Take the Heels. As bad as I hate to say it, they're playing really good and a win against Pitt gets them even closer to making it to a bowl game after a 1-4 start. I'd say Pitt's Defense is about equal to UNC's but UNC will score 2 or 3 more times than Pitt. UNC will win by 10 or more.

Agreed, UNC is the better team. Pitt coming off a big win vs. ND where you would have thought they just won the superbowl, I see a let down. UNC scratching and clawing for each win to become bowl eligible, off of 3 straight wins, I'm riding with the Heels as well. Makes me feel better that an NC St. fan agrees with this. Good luck!

Ofcourse if Pitt wins, they are IN a Bowl game. None of this trying to get eligable caca. either way, it really is a game betgween two average teams that are really going nowhere in their Conference. Either team can wake up, as Notre Dame found out. At least Pitt has a win over a decent quality team. Who has UNC beat? Pass. Both teams are just too flaky to wager on.

Actually, both teams unbelievably have a tiny chance at at least tying for the div. title, so although in theory you are correct, neither team is going anywhere in the conference, in reality and mathematically, the chance is still there. Emotion and scheduling are so important in college football, and I think Pitt's win vs ND last week has this line inflated. A Pitt loss last week would have made the Heels a few points the favorite here, and Pitt's homefield advantage is not great, so although you may be right, that both teams are flaky, in my very humble opinion, all the value is with the Tarheels. When you are an 18-22 year old and you have very little shot at a conference championship, the next best thing is having that winning record and making it to a bowl, so getting eligible to do so is extremely important, especially to the coaches who will then receive an extra month of practices, so that must be taken into account here.

One team will win, we hope UNC will be the team, that money bet will still fit in my pocket.
