Don't foresee myself making a play on this one, but gut feeling says UGA pulls off the win here

It doesn't matter what we think you are already on Auburn to cover. Doubt we'd change your mind. For those of us who have not taken a side why don't you tell us why we should take Auburn?

I was expecting to see a line closer to Auburn -7. Anything higher than that and I was planning on taking UGA, but when it came out at -3, I took Auburn in hopes that it will somehow rise to closer to -7, where I think I'll try and take UGA and see if I can somehow middle it. WarEagle is tough at home and this will be their biggest game of the year. I actually think that will hurt them here because this is the first game where all of the pressure is on them. With the home edge, I like Auburn to win, but this should be a classic tough, close SEC game.

Well, am not decided yet. That's why am asking for your feedback.
Before playing Arkansas and Tennessee, some knowledgeable analysts (Pete from SBR for instance) said that Auburn's win @ Texas Tech wasn't to be taken seriously since Auburn is yet at the construction level. But Auburn demolished both Arkansas and Tennessee on the road. IMHO, Auburn keeps repeating the same pattern for at least the last 10 years that i am following them. Whenever they change coaches, their first season goes really well, but then all of a sudden they just fall (With Tuberville in 2004 they finished 1st in the SEC with 13-0 record in their 1st year but then 9-3 in the second. With Chizik in 2010, they finished 1st again with a 13-0 record and the national BCS championship, but then went down 8-5 in the next year).
Even if this isn't a strong argument to conclude that Auburn will cover at home against GA, i personally believe that Jordan-Hare will be packed with Tigers' fans cheering their team against their second old rival (BAMA being their first). Georgia on the other hand, isn't on the top of their game this year. They had tough matches and are 1-2 on the road. So i believe, this match is gonna be tight, but will lean towards Auburn's side.
          Hope this makes sense.

I live in the South therefor I see hardly anything but SEC games on TV saturday. Auburn is a much improved team from last year obviously and has looked really good as of lately! Last game they pretty much blew out Tennessee. However despite UGA's record they are not a bad team by any means. One of the best QB in the SEC. They have been fighting many injuries this season. If Todd Gurley is healthy for UGA I can actually see UGA winning straight up. It will be a high scoring shootout though. These games between UGA and Auburn are usually pretty close. I will not be betting on this game.

                Agreed.
The spread went up from 3 to 4 now.

The A&M win cannot be discounted, as a win vs. the Aggies on the road is a good win, no matter what, but also pay heed that game was immediately following A&M's big come back win on the road at Ole Miss, where A&M acted like they just beat the Pats in Superbowl forty-whatever, so there is some discrepancy there. But, the A&M win SHOULD be taken very seriously. Nice note about 1st year coaches at Auburn, and isn't to be ignored either. A lot of times, after a down year, and the new coach comes in with a different attitude, once the team starts winning and gets that belief they can beat anyone, that is when the streak starts to happen, which is what we have here. A lot of moving parts in this game, with UGA probably feeling a little disrespected as the dog, but with Auburn playing in Jordan-Hare, it will be loud and rowdy. Too bad the game is not at night, which would be an even bigger factor for the Tigers. Also worth noting Auburn is currently on a 7-0 ATS run.

Actually, the Auburn-Georgia rivalry is the oldest rivalry in the South. Oddly enough, the series record is 54-54-8. Auburn still wins the SEC West if they defeat Alabama no matter what happens in this game, so there is not nearly as much pressure on them as some may think. This will be close for a half, but then Auburn wears Georgia down.

An Auburn loss here knocks them out of the West race, as they would have 2 SEC losses (@LSU, vs. Georgia), so the pressure if there, although it may not be as much as it normally would be considering nobody expected them to be in this position at this point in the year. It's also interesting to note that Georgia also somehow has a chance to win the East and this game will be played before the SC/UF game, so UGA still has everything to play for. Bottom line I think is that this will be a knock-down, drag-out game. I'm interested to see where the final line will end up.

I'm a Bama fan but pull for the Tigers unless they are playing the Tide. (Rare I know!)

In each of the previous ten years, the team that finished with the most rushing yards went home the winner. Auburn is running the ball as well as anyone in the country right now and if Georgia has a healthy Gurley...he should stack up some yards.

Only one team has outrushed Georgia in a game this season...Vanderbilt on Oct. 19. Auburn is gaining almost 30 percent more yards on the ground per game than the second best rushing team in the SEC and Georgia is well down the list.

Dog QB Aaron Murray has 10 TD passes without an interception during his career against Auburn. First year Tiger QB Nick Marshall has rushed for over 700 yards this season and presents a threat that Murray doesn't offer.

This is the Deep South's oldest rivalry and the series stands at 54-54-8.

Appreciated RPK...not sure I will play this game because I look at all games and try to narrow them down into a select few with more winners than losers. BUT...hard to ignore what the Auburn coaching staff have accomplished with this team. The offensive line has just gotten better and better every week and are really playing well right now. OL coach Grimes has my vote for assistant coach of the year in the SEC.

Other stuff: Georgia won last year 38-0 in what some Auburn people thought was piling on points late. Georgia has been a money burner this season at 1-7-1 against the spread. On the other hand, not much love for the Tigers before the season and they have shocked Vegas going 8-2 ATS.

Keeping in mind the visiting team has been money for bettors the past few years.

I've been riding the Auburn wave for a few weeks now and am a Tennessee homer and watched them roll right over us. The one thing no one is talking about is Auburn's special teams. They are off the charts good. Yes, TN's special team coverage is awful, but they still put up record numbers against us and have done very well against other teams as well. Auburn's rushing and special teams gets this one done at home by a TD (Auburn is a tough place to play. . .and it will be dark by the 3rd quarter). I'm not a total player, but I like anything over 52-55.
