Gift or Trap? UNDER 56.5 RICE @ UCLA

I posted this in another thread and decided to create a new thread. See some opinions on this..

Here is why I like it-

UCLA's defense is tired of hearing they are no good. The new look defense should try to make a statement here by limiting Rice to single digit points.Rice is terrible that is why they are 29 point dogs. UCLA limited Utah to only 10 points on the road,Now they are @ Home.. Also should open a big enough lead to where they run the ball and take time off the clock which is alot easier now with the new clock rules. This one looks easy but maybe too easy.

I do know this defense is improved and they will not have a better chance to make a big statement like they could here. Even if this play losses I still think UNDER was the right play..

Would love to get some input here?

Last years UCLA squad was alot better than this years team. I really don't have much of a strong lean in this one at all, but I do have a small lean towards the under in this game myself.

dan, I don't know if I'd go as far as to say that last year's UCLA team was definitely better than this year's team...I watched them the first week and was pretty impressed...I do think that UCLA could do better than the Sun Bowl this year for sure...

This years UCLA team has a way better defense and Olsen is a sophmore now. I would take this years Bruins over last years.

The more I look as this play, I like it as well. Let's just hope UCLA doesn't bust out with a 50+ point showing. I'm tailing for a unit or two.

Not a good day for me either IMG. Im 0-3 today, and 1-3 on the week (Boise St -7.5 in Thursday). I will need ND (-8.5) and CAL (havent bet yet) today to minimize my losses.

UNC (+13.5) and MISS. St. (+21.5) didnt show up for me today. Then Army (-6.5) blows it late in the 4th, then wins in OT by 3.

rice has a scrappy little team, I have been pretty impressed watching them against Houston and UCLA...
