    LT Profits: Texas Tech -7.0

Texas Tech looks to have some balance on offense this season, making the Red Raiders virtually an impossible team to defend.

Sure Tech still has one of the best passing games in the country, and its new quarterback Graham Harrell simply picked up where those before him left off last week, passing for 342 yards and five touchdowns. However the Raiders may have also discovered a running game as Shannon Woods added 104 rushing yards. If the UTEP defense struggled with San Diego State the way it did last week, how are the Miners going to slow down this juggernaut?

On the other side of the ball, UTEP was one-dimensional in its 34-27 win over the Aztecs, rushing for only 39 yards as a team on a disgusting 1.9 yards per carry. If the Miners cannot run the ball, they cannot take that much time off the clock and this game will turn into a shootout. That being the case, nobody passes the ball better than Texas Tech, and with some quality runs by Woods mixed in we are looking for a Red Raider romp here.
