First of all I will admit that I posted Nebraska -10 vs Minnesota last week.
I really don't understand what the coaching staff was thinking last week. My play was based on the thought that all 3 qbs were going to play. Taylor Martinez is hurt. He had not played a game for a month (since the UCLA loss). The GAME PLAN was to have Taylor play just a little bit.... getting him back into "game shape" before our "real" games. In the press conference after the game Taylor revealed 2 things..... #1 he never had turf toe, he has 2 broken toes (he kicked a wall 6 weeks ago) #2 The game plan was to have all 3 qbs play but the game was closer than they thought so that never happened.
WTF!?!? So.... Taylor played like crap so the other 2 qbs did not play? Nebraska didn't take Minnesota serious and their "game plan" was to let Taylor build a 21 point lead.... then let the other 2 play. Wow. Now back to this weeks game. When the season started, Northwestern and Michigan were the 2 games the fans and coaches thought might be a challenge. Now Nebraska is faced with a MUST WIN situation. Nebraska most likely will lose to Michigan and both Michigan and Penn State look like a real challenge. Bo Pelini CAN NOT LOSE THIS GAME. Kind of like how Mack Brown could not lose to Oklahoma. This is a MUST win, at home. Taylor is out again (thank god!..... great when he's healthy but hes not healthy this year!) and the duo of Armstrong & Kellogg will get Nebraska back on track this week. I sense the TEAM likes Armstrong & Kellogg behind center. The WRs seem to work harder. The line seems to block better. Northwestern is not the team people thought they were preseason. Wisconsin rushed for 286 yards against Northwestern and I expect the same from Nebraska. Abdullah is one of the top rushers in the Big 10. Nebraska is most likely going to lose 4 games this year. This will not be one of them. Nebraska 42 Northwestern 20
