    And I'm not a hater.

    I love underdog stories.

But the current BCS rules were established to allow for REALLY good Boise State/TCU teams to play in a BCS game.

It was never designed for teams like Fresno and NIU.

    They're shit.

If you placed Fresno State in the SEC, they wouldn't win a game. Fresno State needed OT to beat a Rutgers team that Houston obliterated. Let that sink in.

But that's NOT the worst of it.

Fresno needed OT-- to beat San Diego State. San Diego State lost to Eastern Illinois by 21.

NIU is Jordan Lynch. That's it. Nothing else.

No one in their right fuking mind would think either one of those teams deserves a BCS bowl game.

There are 50 teams that could run Fresno State's schedule.

Neither NIU or Fresno will have played a Top 25 team. Get the fuk out of here with that weak shit.

The good news is that unless the world stops spinning, Fresno/NIU have little chance to crack the Top 12. Voters will keep them in the 14-17 range, and the computers will keep them in the 20-40 range, and they won't crack the Top 12.

I agree, but did N.illinois crack the top 12 last year? Thought they got in with a lower ranking like 17th or 18th?

They managed to get in because they were ranked higher than a conference champ-- Louisville.

The good news is that the voters seem to agree.

Fresno State won this week and dropped in the AP Poll.

      NIU nudged up one spot.

Ok gotcha, Seeing that most conference champs will be higher than that wont happen. Unless LVILLE, UCF, or Houston win AAC and rank lower I guess

It works this way. A non-BCS AQ school has to finish in the Top 12 in the polls UNLESS they finish higher than a Champion from an AQ Conference. Obviously this means that either Fresno State or NOrthern Illinois (16 and 17 currently) will have to finish higher than the AAC Champion because neither team will finish 12th or higher.

yeah, so it could get interesting in that conference if they all beat each other up.if Houston beats UCF, Lville beats Houston could keep them out of top 12 and below the others I guess. But I got my own team to worry about and of course Bama and Oregon stumbling which doesnt look like it will happen

              paging killer demo in 3 2 1

diamonds spot on by the way, these teams are both garbage. the mountain west is beyond horrible this season, look at some of their non conference losses as a whole. northern illinois hasnt even played a decent mac team yet, things like this always work themselves out.

To even bury Fresno State further, they would lose by 14 to Northern Illinois, IMO.

Don't think the computers will let that happen. And any voter who ranks Fresno/NIU ahead of the eventual AAC winner should be banned from voting. UCF and Louisville would be double digit favorites against either team, and I'm not so sure Houston wouldn't be also.

If Fresno/NIU are ranked ahead of Louisville/UCF-- they only have to finish in the Top 16.

If Louisville/UCF is ranked ahead of Fresno/NIU, then Fresno/NIU have to finish Top 12.

Currently, Fresno/NIU are 16-17, and Louisville is 19, UCF is 23.

                        But that will change.

Nobody could argue those facts. Even Louisville is weak but they would wreck the schedules of both NIU and Fresno.
