    Auburn Turnaround
If SEC Coach of the Year voting was taken today, Auburn's Gus Malzahn would win hands down. Yes, Missouri's Picknel deserves credit for the Tigers nice start but Auburn has posted the biggest turnaround in the nation so far. Auburn was 1-6 through seven games last year, this season they are 6-1 and second in the SEC West with a 3-1 conference record.

Florida Atlantic is on deck Saturday followed by Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. A real strong finish might just have Malzahn up for national honors.

It's certainly a far cry from last year but 6-1 vs that schedule not going to earn you nat'l honors. Their schedule aligned nicely for a bounce back year if they could show improvement on the offensive side. With the hire of Malzahn and bringing in Marshall I had no doubt they would be better offensively. I think it's a nice turnaround but honestly I felt 5-2 at this point to start the season based on that schedule. I can go along with SEC coach of the year. I will add that Malzahn did a heck of a job filling his staff: Ellis Johnson, Rodney Gardner, & Dameyune Craig all excellent hires. I'd probably have Butch Jones 2nd in the voting. i truly expect Tenn to be back in the hunt under Jones. Mizzou played nobody early and really caught a break facing UGA & Fla when both teams have been decimated with injuries. Its a nice start to be 7-0 and give Pinkel props but I think Malzahn and Jones have done better jobs.

They are quietly putting together a great season. Easily a 9-3/10-2 regular season and a nice bowl ahead.

I'm a huge Auburn fan and couldn't be more blown away with how well we are playing right now! To have gotten this team to play this well, this fast is very impressive in any conference much less the SEC!

Auburn looks to have a bright future under Malzahn. I agree with Silver that Gus got rid of a lot of dead weight and brought in a good coaching staff. Defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson was a key hire.

When you look at their two deep roster for offense and defense...22 of those players are either freshman or sophmores. On offense, only one senior makes the top 22 players.

I'm thinking some Arkansas people are having some second thoughts for not going after Malzahn. He was right there in their backyard at Arkansas State.

Could be a competitive Iron Bowl this year instead of the beat downs of the last 2 years.

Yeap, it will be a good ole fashion slobberknocker Chunk.

I'm a Bama fan but pull for the Tigers unless they are playing the Tide.

Not get get off topic but what's your take on Bama game this weekend. I'm thinking 38-3 Bama. So really like under Tenn team total. Expecting team total be 12/12.5. Would love for it to get to 13 but doubt it gets that high.
