Anybody know anything about Middle Tennesee? Can they beat BYU on friday straight up?

Looks like the line is pushing towards BYU 22/23 points. Can middle tennesee hang with them?

Living in provo I tend to fade BYU recently and if MT is fast and can get some breaks, it looks like they can keep it close! Having 3 wins so far, does anyone have insight on this Middle Tennese team? Their status and chances?

Im def looking to both the spread and ML!

To be honest, I couldn't tell you anything about MTSU, but it's hard to imagine such a big dog winning SU. They might not be a bad play taking the points though, as BYU just got done playing Texas and Utah, and their next two games are against Utah St and Ga Tech, so the Cougars could come out flat against such an inferior opponent.

seeing alot of informed people on BYU here....

but i'm thinking BYU isn't that high scoring... and MTSU has to have some athleticism given their location/conference/etc.... sunbelt has been very good on road in last few years (not sure who's still in sunbelt and not sure it's worked this year so far)

but i like MTSU above 3 TD's......

given that BYU isn't high scoring i'd say MTSU has a slightly better ML chance than your average 22.5 point underdog.

From what I have seen, MTSU looked like a damn track team last year but not so much this year. They almost got beat at home by Memphis 2 weeks ago. If they can only score 17 on Memphis they may not score at all tonight.

I would also be more prone to take the sandwich game angle if they had beaten Utah. BYU will get their shit in order tonight most likely after that loss.

And finally, to address the straight up question, they beat GA Tech last year as a 4 touchdown dog, and they beat the hell out of them too. But after what I have seen this year lightning ain't striking twice with these guys

I like the under in the game tonight in Provo. It will be wet and cold tonight, and although I don't know that much about MTSU. From looking at stats they are a run first kind of team. BYU is really good against the run and their defense is solid. Now their offense is Jekyll and Hyde, which one will show up tonight, I don't know. However, I don't see MTSU scoring more than 17 so if the over/under is 58 1/2, BYU would have to score 42 points for the over. Yes it could happen, but I like the chances of it not happening more than happening.
