i know you mentioned the free 5 games so you've seen it...
from this he likes alabama by 14 over TAM, and army to keep it reasonably close at home vs. stanford (a bit of a surprising prediction)
i may subscribe later today, but i probably won't share all his top picks every week.
EDIT: i should make clear the alabama and army aren't necessarily amongst his top 5 picks to be. he just gives out free picks for the top 5 teams.Comment -

#3You have to give Steele credit.
He is transparent like RAS is.
Steele and RAS post their plays after the fact.
You can find them both online.Comment -

But I love all the information he packs in his Powersweep Sheets.
No offense, man, but they are only 8 bucks--- hell, a copy of the Wall Street Journal is 2 bucks now-- so, considering what you get, I think the 8 bucks is worth it.
Why not just pull the trigger and buy it online?Comment -

#7if i subscribe to phil's weekly, it would have to do with thanking/supporting him for all the great free information he gives out each year.....
his picks i haven't been crazy about in the past. but he's probably like 95%+ of people out there at 50% minus juiceComment -

#9is this new weekly different from power sweeps or just a new name/format?
a couple of posters are right. we spend so much time each week chasing down so much info. something like phil steele's weekly is kinda like the racing forum at the track.Comment -

#10Originally posted by BiffTFinancialI think that the Powersweep Sheets are one of the best investments that I make. I don't tail anyone (well, anyone other than Pacocn and 2dabank and some of my buddies who cap soccer), but I'll gladly pay for info gathering/aggregation/organization, and those guys do an outstanding job.
I pay the 8 bucks because I have all the information I need in my hands, nice and neat. No paging through 25 different websites to find it all.Comment -

#15I subscribe to Inside the pressbox; it's legit. He doesn't break down any of the games with FCS opponents, but it's great to see what he/ his computer says. The info has been great so far, but the season has been pretty predictable. I bet a lot each week so a $49 fee is worth it just to have my info in one place. If you do subscribe, do yourself a favor and make your own guess for the scores before you look at his scores. He sticks pretty close to the spreads no matter what.Comment
