LT-- good luck, I like the Duke selection, but I am afraid Army is going to get rolled.
Morgan State is an awful program, and Army didn't overwhelm them----
I don't know what angle you see with Army, thoughts?

Duke loses straight up. let's see Boone vs a real Div 1 D-Line. zone read athleticism dominates FCS schools.
like Temple here though, good luck with your plays LT

Since when did Memphis get D1 talent?
What's changed since Duke rolled Memphis by 24 last year?
This is Memphis we're talking about. Memphis.

the game that worries me is that Kent St/Bowling Green...Bowling Green looked real good last week in dismantling a decent Tulsa team 34 - 7 while Kent ST barely squeaked by Liberty (yes, Jerry Falwell's school) 17 - 10!...I know we aren't supposed to use the transitive property when handicapping sports team but based on week 1's action, the Falcons should roll the Golden Flashes here in this spot or at least cover the number.

Memphis D 36th in country last year vs the run. returning all starters on the line. not to mention key DL contributor off bench who missed all of last season with injury. 3 of of 4 starting LBs returning. Johnnie Farms on DL will be drafted. starting safety Lonnie Ballentine will be drafted. on offense there is a starting WR transfer from Clemson. offensive line still big question mark.

Just because they are a year older doesn't mean they are better.
Duke rolled them last year. Duke had 500 yards of offense compared to Memphis' 152.
Duke had 28 first downs, Memphis had 9.
Now all of a sudden, Memphis is going to win?

Line should be higher then 6 then,no? Based on those numbers seems should be one sided money with that easy one score cover.

No. Early season numbers are soft-- often because they use returning starters/production in their algorithms----Duke lost Sean Renfree and it will show in early season lines-- what those lines won't tell you is how good Boone is.
It's the same reason why Florida State was only a 10 point favorite against Pitt. There simply were no data points on Winston.
Same for Duke and Boone.
If Memphis wins, I will be the first person in this thread saying I was wrong.
But I think Duke is going to roll them. I see this as a 14-17 point Duke win.

Numbers say Kent STate is the play but last week says otherwise. Hate to let one week talk me out of a play

Good reasoning Sam Diamond, I do appreciate the input. Though I'm still on Memphis for a unit, best of luck with all your other plays!
