#3I'm on FSU because FSU upgraded their qb position. It's not often a team loses a 'first round qb'(hahaha) in place of a true freshman and gets better, but that's what I think fsu did. Ej manuel, for whatever reason, was not a good college qbComment -

#4Upgraded? Winston is a freshman starting his first gm on the road in a hostile environment. If thats your main reasoning for taking FSU, tread lightly my friendOriginally posted by playmaker79I'm on FSU because FSU upgraded their qb position. #6Manuel was 25-6 as a starter, 4-0 in bowl games, won 5 outta 6 vs intrastate rivals (miami & Florida), and also helped lead them last yr to their most prolific offensive season in school history. In addition he goes down as the most accurate QB of all time at FsU.. highly doubt a freshman outperforms him.Originally posted by playmaker79yes, and I don't expect Winston to play all that great. #7^^ I liked EJ Manuel. As a Gator fan, I never understood why many FSU fans didn't like him???
We shall soon see that he's a much better QB than Ponder.Comment -

#825-6 with a loaded defense in the acc....look back to the florida game last year for why fsu fans were so glad to see him gone. The 4-0 bowl record is more depressing for *what* bowls and opponents those games were considering their schedule and talent on both sides of the ball. They were top 5 preseason with manuel each of manuel's last two years and underachieved both times.Comment -

#9More blame should be placed on jimbo fisher imo. Good coach, bad OC. Also if your looking at the teams Manuel played with, every year except last he played with a HORRIBLE o-line. In his jr yr at one point they had 5 fresh starting on the line. Look at Champs sports bowl in 2011 vs Notre Dame. Dude had to run for his life literally every down. Manuel is a good QB. Not saying that Winston won't surpass him but too many people hyping this kid up to be the next johnny football w/o ever seeing him throw a pass..Originally posted by playmaker7925-6 with a loaded defense in the acc....look back to the florida game last year for why fsu fans were so glad to see him gone. #12The problem with Pitt is that their offense is painfully inept at times. They always seem to have at least one gamebreaker at the skill spot (Devin Street this year), but the O-line/quarterback/playcalling or whatever it is, seems to nullify his presence in big games. I trust the Pitt defense will be dialed in, especially with a home crowd behind them, but the offense is too suspect. Tom Savage may actually be an upgrade at quarterback this year, but Rushel Shell transferred in the offseason, leaving a big hole at running back. Florida State's defense is too athletic and Pitt's offense too bland to really back the Panthers here. I do however like the Under 49 for many of the same aforementioned reasons. Let's face it, if Pitt covers the spread, it most likely goes under. But if they don't, it could very well still go under. Hence, gimme the under so I don't have to root for Pitt's anemic offense to advance the pigskin.Comment -

#17FSU's new Quarterback looks like he's one of those athletes that only comes around once in awhile. Kid is a stud who loves the spotlight, sources say that he "can't wait to get on the field and show everyone how good he is". He's a starting pitcher/outfielder on the baseball team and he was also drafted in the 15th round to play in the MLB which he declined because he wanted to play football. He was lucky enough to come in and red shirt a year, so he's not a true freshmen who isn't familiar with the system. I'm expecting him to put on a show. If he does however fall short of this hes got 4 of 6 starting wideouts and 2 returning stud rbs will have plenty of fire-power to stomp Pitt out. Oh yeah, he also has a Offense line of returning starters too.
