    2013 ncaa +$
I've followed the SEC 15+ years and have watched all the "high profile" games, most of the meaningless games and know these teams pretty well.

Ill keep track of my picks and my analysis of the teams in this thread. This is my third season to wager on games. I've been right around even so far. I've made rookie mistakes of wanting action and taking bets across the board and not focusing in on just a few games. I know alot of people say don't put all your eggs in one basket but statistically you aren't going to hit more than 65% if you bet several games a week. We would all be winners if we could.

    Week 1: 0-0
    Ole miss -3 vs Vanderbilt
    Georgia -3 vs Clemson
Virginia Tech +20.5 (buy hook)vs Alabama

Vanderbilt has the suspensions and sexual assault issues. Vandy has never been a powerhouse and although Franklin is a great coach, Hugh Freeze is also a coach on the rise. I expect Mississippi to win by 10+.

Georgia is definitely in the discussion for a NC. That offense will put up 40+ on many nights. If the defense can hang in and get a few plays, Georgia will be in the SEC championship. Clemson is good but who really thinks they are capable of winning the NC? You have to like Georgia in this spot.

Alabama is the best team in the country until someone beats them. Alabama is normally money in first games and big games under Saban. My angle for Vtech is all about huge QB Logan Thomas and their defense (8 returning starters). Thomas was expected to be a first round pick last year and had a terrible season. He has to have a good year and limit is mistakes. Alabama wins by 10-17.

Those players never played a down for Vanderbilt, so I can't imagine that it hurts them that much. I think the play here is Vanderbilt or no play.

Va. Tech has lost two reserve RB's for this game, and the running game is their only offensive hope. They also have lost two LB's. I can't put any money on them, especially buying a hook and giving the books another 10%.

Georgia has no defesne at all. They lose CB Reggie Wilkerson, and hae starting SS Josh Harvey-Clemons suspended for this game. With only 3 starters returning to a defense that was not very good last season, Tajh Boyd and his talented corps of receivers are going to have a field day against this defense. On top of all of this, you are giving 3 points on the road, with South Carolina on deck. Pass.

Mississippi-Vandy is a "statement" gme for both teams. The winner takes a huge step towards a successful season and the loser starts back at square one. Vandy opened up at -1.5 and now are at +3. I would take Ole Miss except for the fact that they are 2-10 ATS and 1-4 ATS on the road against Vandy in their last several games.

I agree V tech is suspect and may get blown out. I also agree the Georgia game may total 80-100 points. I couldn't be all square and pick the favorites. I would have taken ole miss at +1 obviously. Vandy will really miss Rogers and Stacey.

I could give reasons for why any team can cover against another team. It is week one. Also when a defense is bad the year before, do you want a lot of returning starters? With a great offense, all they need is a few big plays on defense to win.

Ole miss pulled it out. Ill still stand behind VT but its up to +23.5 now. I'm not sold on it. Love Georgia -2.5 and ML LSU for my parlay pick. I've been disciplined so far today. I placed a small wager on cinci but it won't count in this thread.

V techs defense looks good. Special teams giving up 2 tds and that Int for a td hurt. 28-10 halftime Alabama.

Ole Miss 39-35 over Vandy. Great game and both teams should win atleast 8 games this year. Ole Miss covered the spread.

Clemson Over Georgia. Another good game with Georgia blowing another Top 25 matchup. Georgia should have won this game but Clemson played better Saturday night... Dont even want to talk about the 1st and goal that resulted in 0 points in the second half. Mitchell being hurt and then Gurley. Offense didnt score for while after 28.

Alabama covers the spread over V tech and wins by 25. I wasnt sure about this play. Honestly bama didnt play that great and the offense looked terrible. Good V tech defense? I think so. 2 Special team Tds with and Int for a Td really hurt. V tech is a team to watch that will get a few wins.

My parlay of SC, Ole Miss, LSU, and Georgia that paid 5:1 lost due to Georgia being Georgia against good teams.
Week 1: 1-3 (- 2 units) If Georgia wins, +6 units. Thats gambling, especially week 1.

Play tonight is Florida state and over 6 point teaser that pays the same as a regular play.
FSU -6 and over 42 for 2 units. Break even time.

FSU came out and dominated. Winston looks good and should Continue to roll. Played 2 units on the teaser last night. 2-3 this week. And broke even. I actually won a little on other small bets but for this thread ill just go with posted picks.

Early lean for week 2 are Michigan, cinci, and Ohio. Of course ill break down the SEC matchups I like.

I love Ohio over North Texas -4.5. Ohio played terrible against Louisville. Louisville is way better than anyone thought. I expect Ohio to win by 10+. I don't see how it's will be less than a TD. Go big on this game.

Cincinnati over Illinois -8.5. Cinci will put up 42+ points. I expect this to be a high scoring game.

I heard the Arkansas line is -32.5. If this is the case than take it. Arkansas will roll Sanford by 42+. This offense looked good with 2 good running backs last Saturday. This game is also in little rock and the crowd will be rocking.

UL Lafayette +11 over Kansas state. This game will be competitive and ULL may pull out a win in which may not really be an upset.

                              Week 2: 1-4
                              (-3) YTD

                              Louisville -14
A ton of reasons to like this play. Kentucky already got beat by western Kentucky. Louisville is the best team in that state. This needs to be a big win for Louisville. Polls are watching.
