Just 3 of my favorite Week 1 plays that nobody seems to be talking about.
Washington State at Auburn - game must be played before September 5th for action
    Sat 8/31 195 Washington State +13½ -110
    7:00PM 196 Auburn -13½ -110

I like this game because both teams struggled mightily last year and Auburn actually made some changes. Malzahn
already came out and said they want to be the fastest offense in the country. Plus Wazzou has to travel over 2700 miles and play in the deep south in the middle of summer. I expect Auburn to run up and down the field, while Wash St struggles to keep up with the speed and the humidity. I believe Auburn gets the cover unless Wash St backdoors them in the 4th when Auburn has backups playing.

Mississippi State vs Oklahoma State, in Houston - game must be played before September 5th for action
    Sat 8/31 181 Mississippi State +13½ -110
    7:00PM 182 Oklahoma State -13½ -110

I like this game because we ALL saw how overrated Miss St was last year when they were ranked 10th when they played Alabama. Everyone is thinking Miss St. is a good team because they are in the SEC. The combination of losing your top 2 cornerbacks plus the explosive offense Oklahoma St will have (even without Randel) = One long day for the Cowbells. I expect OKST to give up some points, but in the end MISSST defense will not be able to keep up.

Northwestern at California - game must be played before September 5th for action
    Sat 8/31 213 Northwestern -8 -110
    12:00PM 214 California +8 -110

Last game I truly like is NW going on the road to Cal. For some reason there are many people (from XM college sports to other blogs) who seem to think Cal is actually going to be vastly improved this season. I can not seem to figure out why. NW is a legit contender to win the B1G in my opinion. Last time I checked, Cal has absolutely nothing worth writing home about and I expect NW takes it by much more than 8.

    Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I think you have the right side in all three of those games, but like Ok State the most by a fair bit.

I took Auburn -12 in a GOY wager. I also agree with your assessment of the other two games, but I would not wager on either one. Cal, as bad as they have been, are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings with Big 10 opponents. Okie State should be able to handle Miss. State, but a back door cover is possible.

saw this nice gem about big 10 verse pac 12 on road---"they are just 5-20 in true road games against the Pac-12 since 2000, and that includes an 0-3 mark on the road versus the Pac-12 last year."...i do think northwestern should beat Cal but im not touching it.
