had a formatting problem but had to split this into the numbers and then my text here.

i played around with phil steele's numbers.

this is % freshmen and sophomore's starting based on starting 22....

i know you can do returning starters, but sometimes it's hard to define who was a starter last year. and anyway, i'm not too concerned with a senior as a new starter anywhere. freshman and sophomores starting is of much more concern.

this % is driven more by sophomores starting than freshmen. fyi, ND, TCU and UMass have more than 10 sophomores starting. WM, olemiss, baylor, psu and umass have 3 or more freshman starting.

some pretty interesting teams at both ends of the list. ECU, buffalo, new mexico on the heavy senior/junior. tcu/ucla/nd/tax on the heavy sophomore/freshman end.
