Most people don't know that Derek Carr is a record setting quarterback at Fresno State. During the Bulldogs' Mountain West co-championship in 2012, Carr passed for 4,104 yards, a conference record. He has thrown 63 career touchdowns and only 16 interceptions, the second best touchdown-to-interception ratio of any returning FBS quarterback. He set the school record in career completion percentage (65.2) and single-season completion percentage (67.3). His 37 touchdown passes last season were the second most in school history and tied for third in the FBS. With 7,760 yards, Carr needs 3,049 yards to become Fresno's all time leader. Carr and Trent Dilfer are the only Fresno State players to have back-to-back 3,000 yard passing seasons.
