Going with the over 77 tonight
Just got back from a little vacation guys.Hope everybody did well on the past few games.Texas sucked.I'm making a huge play tonight on the over in the TULSA-BALLST game. This is an extremely high # I know but I just don't see either team stopping the other.7-6 on my posted plays now,but 5-1 on my huge plays.Lets make it 6-1 tonight!GL everybody!!!!Gettin a little unlucky with the weather, but stickin with the over.Going to make it a medium play now due to the weather. The weather may actually help the over out as we could see short fields for the 2 crazy, video game offenses.

I keep checking the weather, and it really seems like this will be more towards the under. But, I'd like to hear your side of this, Guru... Why'd you take the over?

Everyone it is a common misconception that rain and snow leads to unders it actually is advantage for the over. The only weather condition that benefits Under is the wind, how hard is the wind blowing. If it is Blowing at 30+ then under might be a good play. Otherwise I lean towards over as well Guru.

Actually it is at 72.5 right now.I'm still going with the over.I just don't think the weather will have much affect. We've seen many games still be shootouts in bad weather and I just think this is one of them. The way these two teams play, the weather could actully help the over abit here.Don't get me wrong. It does make it a little tougher to play offense in heavy rain but much tougher to play defense as the defenses can't defend the receivers as well on sloppy ground. At 72.5,the logical play would be the under in bad conditions.I just feel this game still gets into the 80s.GL GUYS!

another factor is the long downtime for bowl teams. these guys haven't played in a long time and the trend is for them be a bit sloppy (offensively and defensively).

I have 17 units on the under.

GL twitch!I understand your reasonings.IMO,I don't feel that down time is as much of a factor on teams that play the way these two do.They will knock the rust off quickly. At least I hope so!

This is a good point. The offensive player knows where he is going in bad weather and the defensive player does not...thus he has to adjust to the offensive player as he moves. Advantage offense. Still...points too much for me...going with Tulsa. Good to have ya back guru and GL tonight!

                      under...

I just don't see these offenses performing particularly as well in this weather. Yes, both teams are scoring machines, but when placed in a bowl game with these 10-15 mph winds + gusts + worsening winds and rain through the night, I don't see the weather helping the over. Rain or snow, yes, but rain/snow and wind, no. I doubt we'll see the likes of 10 rushing touchdowns. And I'm avoiding the spread like the plague.

Great post, also Wideouts have a HUUUGE advantage over D-backs under these conditions. Well in a few hours all will be said on the field!
We all can only hope for a thriller like last night. GL all

One other thing on the field condition aspect of this game. The rain that they have been enduring is close to being over.We still have a couple of hours until gametime. Most importantly to me is that some seem to think they don't have the field covered and are just letting it get supersloppy down there.I'm sure there is tarp on the field and by gametime, the field should actually be in great condition. It may get bad by the second half,I'm just thinking that these teams will light it up by halftime.

Another important aspect here is that sloppy weather usually yields INTs and fumbles. This could set these offenses up in great field position as well as some possible defensive scores.
