    Auburn Spring Game
Starters on the Orange team had their way with their backups of the Blue team, winning the game 35-14 before an Auburn A-Day record crowd of 83,217, which shattered the previous record of 63,217 from 2010. No doubt, the Tigers fans came out in large part to see what first year coach Gus Malzahn was going to be bringing to the table in the fall. Let me do some math...83,217 at $5 bucks a ticket...$416,085...not bad for a spring scrimmage.

JUCO transfer running back Cameron Artis-Payne stole the show on offense, tallying 18 carries for 117 yards with one touchdown and two catches for 47 yards en route to being named the Offensive MVP of the Game. Artis-Payne led both teams in rushing yards. The Orange team out-gained the Blue team 351 to 197 with the difference coming on the ground which was 196-36.

Quarterbacks Kiehl Frazier and Jonathan Wallace played with both squads in a rotation which has gone on all spring. Wallace went 18 of 26 for 191 yards with two touchdowns and seem to have the better game of the two quarterbacks. Wallace, who started the final four games of 2012, as a true freshman will head into fall camp as the the leader for the all important QB position in Gus Malzahn's offense.
