    Alabama Assistant Coaches Paid Well
I guess winning three of the last four national championships helps earn nice contracts for the assistant coaches at Alabama. Yesterday, University Trustees approved new contracts for all Bama assistant football coaches.

Nick Saban, head coach ($5,625,000) per year plus incentives.
Kirby Smart, defensive coordinator ($1,283,333) per year...3 year contract.
Doug Nussmeier, offensive coordinator ($680,000) per year...3 year contract.
Mario Cristobal, offensive line ($475,000) per year...2 year contract.
Greg Brown, secondary ($300,000) per year...2 year contract.
Billy Napier, receivers ($312,500) per year...2 year contract.
Chris Rumph, defensive line ($410,000) per year...2 year contract.
Bobby Williams, special teams ($400,000) per year...2 year contract.
Burton Burns, running backs ($315,000) per year...2 year contract.
Lance Thompson, linebackers ($400,000) per year...2 year contract.
Scott Cochran, strength/conditioning ($350,000) per year...2 year contract.

Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...send them to Alabama as assistant football coaches...pays better.

Can't Call It, I agree with you. The Alabama football program generates a lot of money for the university and Saban and staff are major reasons.

Saban's contract runs through January 21, 2020. In addition to his salary, he will make $200,000 if he reaches the simi-final game, $300,000 if he reaches the championship game, and $400,000 if he wins the national championship. Saban is currently the highest paid head coach in college football.

With Kirby Smarts new 3 year deal, he becomes the highest paid defensive coordinator in CFB surpassing LSU's John Chavis, who will earn $1.2 million over the next two years.

The Alabama coaching staff is paid well but much is expected of them each and every year.
