Beck was a no-show for practice on saturday and sunday. His mother made some comments saying that her son was far better than Zac Taylor and should have been the starter when in reality he entered fall camp at #4 on the depth chart. There are now reports that he has asked coach Callahan for a release from his scholarship stating that there is no way he could return to the team after the comments his mother made became public. Too bad for the kid, as well as the Huskers. Harrison Beck was very highly reguarded coming out of high school and has all the physical tools to be a very good QB, just not likely that will happen at Nebraska now.

Missed this story the first time around. Looks like momma's boy transferred to NC State. Hope they're on the Huskers' schedule somewhere down the line and Nebraska creams him while his momma is sitting in the stands.Comment
