Boise State's Chris Peterson has been head coach of the Broncos for the past seven years. He has an amazing won/loss record of 84-8 during this span. Peterson has never won fewer than 10 games in a season and finished last year 11-2 with a bowl win over Washington.

Look for Peterson to keep his string of 10 win seasons intact this year. He has come within two missed field goals of playing for a national championship.

Boise State will stay in the MWC rather than move to the Big East as planned. With Boise remaining in the MWC, the league will have 11 football members for the 2013 season.

Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State and Wyoming. The new members are San Jose State and Utah State. San Diego State is set to join the Big East in 2013, but could also decide to stay in the MWC. That would give the conference 12 teams with the possibility of splitting into divisions and staging a championship game.

Houston, SMU, UTEP and UTSA are also potential candidates to join the MWC.

travel would have at the very least doubled, even tripled if they went to the big east

Seems like a very good coach. he gets paid pretty damn good too.
He could make big time coach money if he were coaching a better team in a better conference.

CantCallIt, you are right about Peterson.

He has been approached by a number of 'bigger schools' over the past two or three years and could make a lot more money if he wanted to move.

Peterson has said his family is very happy in Boise, Idaho, and doesn't want to interrupt the lifestyle they enjoy. I like the fact he puts family ahead of ego (bigger job). Seems to me Boise State has a keeper.
