TCU vs. LSU Aug. 31st, 2013
Posting early so I can bump this in a few months...

    TCU on the moneyline LARGE

    Gary Patterson > Les Miles
LSU will have a new look next year with many first time starters
TCU was a young team who gained experience and will be ready to step up
Location for the game favors TCU, but LSU fans travel well
Casey Pachall will be back as starting qb for TCU

I expect TCU to be the underdog, but no points will be needed. TCU wins outright.

CBASS - I wouldn't put too much on that bet right now. Sure LSU loses a bunch of folks but they lose people every year. They played a lot of freshman and sophomores this year. If they can get consistent QB play and if Les Miles gets his head out of his ass they are still able to beat anyone.

You make some very good points Mac4Lyfe. I really think LSU will be in trouble against TCU, because LSU's offense is atrocious. Here is what LSU's offense has ranked the last 5 yrs: 87th, 89th, 112th, 92nd, and 59th. Gary Patterson is a defensive genius. He will implement a defensive scheme that will stifle LSU's (already abysmal) offense. Also, LSU is losing 6 starters (as of right now) from their defense. With Pachall back for TCU, the Horned Frogs will be able to take full advantage. I will be all over TCU in this one.

I wouldn't put too much stock in where the LSU offense ranks, they play in the SEC (not saying they're a great offense but to call them abysmal is a bit off base IMO)-- Also they return Jeremy Hill at RB who was a beast last year, and I think Mettenberger has an improved season next year. Also even with the starters LSU loses I don't see them losing a step, they simply have so much talent all around and are well coached. I think LSU wins this game.

Too early to call, but if I had to bet today, I would roll with the tigers.
