    Nicholls State +51 1/2?
5Dimes has a line out on the Oregon State/Nicholls State game set at 51.5, up from 50.5 yesterday.

I truly believe that this Nicholls State team is Grade A trash, but Mike Riley isn't the kind of coach to run up a 50+ point lead on an FCS school.

Anyone think that NSU +51.5 is a smart play here? I think the Oregon State CAN lay this much on them..... but they won't.

I agree with you on this one. A 56-0 blowout might be more likely in week 1 but Oregon St has already proven enough this season. They're not going to take too many chances with their starters with a bowl game coming up.

Sorry but stupid and somewhat irreverent to gambling question. Why are they playing a FCS school this week. Isnt it championship week? Was this game scheduled from the start of the season and if it was, what if OS had to play in the title game?

Game was postponed. Should've been the first game of the season.

Nicholls is in Thibodaux, Louisiana. They had travel issues because of a storm in week one. Game was postponed as Turbozed said.

correct. they were supposed to be the beavers' first game on september 1st until hurricane issac postponed their trip. gave oregon state more time for wisconsin in what was a super-long training camp.

the rescheduling was set under the condition that if NSU reached the FCS playoffs (yeah right) and/or Oregon State reached the Pac-12 title game (again yeah right... not under Oregon's oppressive shadow) that the game would be officially canceled.

Rumor had it that if Oregon State would have won the civil war they would have canceled the game in order to not drag down strength of schedule for a long-shot fiesta bowl bid.
