With all these money these dickheads make...reaping off the players...should throw the players some bone. Fck them scholarships. Whether players attend or not....school owns the classrooms n dorms. Meaning they don't have to pay anyone jack. Teachers are base on salaries and those scholarships are just a front to keep pocketing the money athletes bring in. School is a business just like any other business. Using education as a front to avoid taxes. It's the biggest fraud.....scheme...money making machine....more corrupt then crazy Madoff (?).

It does make u shake your head, eh? And the players dont have the rights to anything, the university keeps it all. Real sports with bryant gumble ran a great segment about the ncaa and licensing. Told the the story of a bama wideout who broke his leg and now works at a bank. Had a "highlight of the year" catch. Everytime its shown on tv, Bama, the sec, and ncaa get paid. He gets nothing. Shameful.

Couldn't agree more...I befriended a starting running back for the USC Trojans some years ago..his gorgeous girlfriend lived next door to me with her parents.

He would come over once in awhile and ask for $20 bucks to take his girl to the movies.

Then I went to the ND/USC game at the Coliseum and watched nearly 100,000 cheer for him. Nobody knew how broke this kid was.

Ed O'bannon suing NCAA over them getting paid $$$ to use him on the cover of an EA sports game. Not right that the players can't recieve any of this action. the whole system is fukked. the players get a scholarship, but how much is that really worth to a KY basketball player who takes a year of classes then goes pro. But after they winthe title, the athletic department, the school, the SEC, and NCAA all bank off merch sales, TV contracts, enrollment bumps...you name it.

but who I am kidding? those KY 1 and dones surely get paid $omehow. bet.
