Rutgers sucks today!

Have a big play on Rutgers today and they are coming off a bye playing at home against a bad defensive team in Army, and Rutgers has the 4th best defense in the country, and they are stinking up the place, and a lot of it has to be with the play calling on both sides of the ball, as it is horrible.

Trying to stay positive, but it is increasingly difficult.

I am on the UNDER in this one, but I do have Rutgers -10.5 in a 10 pt teaser for the noon games with NW +21 and IU +17.5. IU is struggling too. I really hate when I miss 2/3 games in a 10 pt tease.

This is why I liked this game so much but as we can see they suck so far today!
I know Army leads the nation in rushing (375.4 yards), but they're going to be facing a defense that is ranked No. 4 nation against the run, allowing just 88.5 yards and only four touchdowns rushing this season. Army quarterback Trent Steelman and running back Raymond Maples will have trouble moving the ball against this defense, mark my words. In Rutgers' last 12 games against option offenses, the Scarlet Knights are 10-2 and have limited the opposition to an average of 33 rushing yards below their season average. The Scarlet Knights have allowed one 100-yard rusher over the last 12 games.

Rutgers also boasts the nation's sixth-best scoring defense, allowing just 14.3 points per game. The Scarlet Knights lead the Big East and ranks 10th natiionally with 13 interceptions.

I know some are quick to point out how impressive Army was in winning its second game of the season last week against Air Force, but need I remind you UNLV's first win of the season came against Air Force? Not much defense with the Falcons. Today Rutgers is going to show Army about defense.

Army has lost 11 straight games away from West Point, and 14 straight against Big East competition, which makes things even tougher for the Black Knights. And this one means so much to Rutgers, which is not only looking for its sixth eight-win season in seven years, but more importantly will be looking to keep pace in the Big East, as there is a three-way race at the top of the conference, along with Cincinnati and Louisville.

On offense, Gary Nova is 31-1 as a starting quarterback when coming into a season as the starter under center. Overall, he is 34-3 as his team's starting signal caller. He has thrown for 17 touchdown passes already in 2012 - six more than all of 2011. On the season, Nova is 148-of-247 passing for 1,816 yards and 17 touchdowns. He's most certainly shined the second half of the season, completing 61.9 percent of his passes for 1,055 yards with 13 touchdowns versus two interceptions.

While Army is mired in ATS losing streaks of 3-8 in non-conference play and 3-14 agaainst Big East foes, Rutgers is in on ATS win streaks of 7-1 after a bye and 5-1 overall.

I guess this is why they play the game. But we cannot give up the fight! It is going to be tough but we still have an opportunity to pull this out!
