The last time we had this conversation, there were multiple interviews with head linesmakers and books owners a few days later that confirmed it was a bloodbath for the books. Stop being so paranoid about websites and bookies trying to "trick" the public into fading the posted percentages, which doesn't even make sense given the fact that most people tail the big public plays of the week, not fade them.

I'm still just baffled that you think the idea behind the books posting public % is to actually trick bettors into fading the top-rated plays. That makes zero sense.

Every friend of mine I know tails any play that reads as "90% on this team" or "85% of ESPN voters are on this team". They love looking at who the ESPN "experts" pick. It's not that complicated.

I'm still not even sure, though, why I'm defending this as the sole tool in capping a game. Somehow I get pigeonholed into that every time we have this discussion. I look at these numbers, but I've never in my life made a play based simply on that alone.

From what I can tell from covers consensus any side play over 60% the record today was 16-14, not much profit but a little if playing -110 lines.

On streak for the cash with games with a decent difference in regards to public percentages the public was 12-5 in with their picks in college football.

College football is not the sport to just fade the public in general on marquee/big games. I would recommend staying away from betting marquee games in general because finding an edge is tough.
